Reviews (In No Particular Order)

Andy Steiger is a unique voice among Christian Case Makers. He understands the culture, has a youthfully disarming approach, and is fearlessly passionate about sharing the Gospel. Best yet, Andy has been learning and refining his approach for years in coffee houses and other public settings. If you want to understand how to address life’s most important issues so you can better respond to the culture’s most pressing questions, Thinking? is a must read.

We need more thinkers and writers like Andy Steiger. His new book is a terrific example of how to engage people on the questions that really matter.

Thinking?: Answering Life’s Five Biggest Questions is a timely book. It answers life’s biggest questions with refreshing honesty, clarity, passion, and depth. Andy is a natural storyteller with a gift for unwrapping complicated ideas without the insider jargon and fifty-dollar words that only bring confusion. If you think that philosophy, history, and theology are as dry as sawdust, then this book will startle you with its relevance and poignancy. Andy’s stories will not only have you laughing and crying, but will get you thinking and inspire you to focus on what’s most important: loving God and other people (Mark 12:30-31).

The Thinking Series uses emotionally-charged narratives and compelling reason to tackle the top questions spiritual seekers ask today. Finally! A high-quality resource that both explores ultimate questions while connecting people’s current realities of life to God. I personally give The Thinking Series DVD to my friends that wrestle with questions of ultimate meaning, God’s existence, evil and life after death. Power to Change is excited to partner with Apologetics Canada to more effectively bring the good news of Jesus Christ to Canada and beyond.

This generation is searching for meaning in a variety of avenues and directions. Whether or not these individuals consider themselves to be thinkers, Andy Steiger’s five biggest questions keep getting raised in an exceptionally wide variety of venues, from everyday coffee house chit-chat, to various media, to technical treatments. Addressing these subjects adequately can do more than just stimulate our minds. Finding the answers can lead us to absolutely exciting, fulfilling, and stimulating lives. To this end, I heartily recommend Steiger’s book as a means of engaging in this quest for ultimate purpose and meaning.

Andy Steiger has accomplished something very difficult in the modern world. He has written a tremendously engaging book that tackles the biggest questions that haunt every thoughtful person on the planet. And he has done it with great flair. I loved reading it and am anxious to give it to another dozen people who need to read it. It is a book that brings hope and light to everyone-from the believer to the hardcore skeptic. I hope churches and Bible study groups across North America sit down with this book and work through it. It would be hard to find a better way to grow in grace, truth, and joy.

Andy Steiger has written a highly readable book that explores five of the most significant questions anyone could ask. Everyone thinks about these questions at one time or another but few are willing to discuss them openly, and even fewer people know where to turn for a thoughtful treatment of them. Steiger brings not only theoretical ideas to these questions but real heart as well. His many real-life illustrations will at times cause you to smile, at other times they will break your heart. Most importantly, they will help to illuminate the ideas under discussion and show how these concepts can be applied in real world situations.

The Thinking Series is a great resource. We are hoping all our Ratio Christi chapters at universities in the United States will use the series to help Christians and skeptics think through the most important questions in life.
